Alice Springs, fashion photographer 1970's and onwards

welcome to kweejibo stories, September 2012

Alice Springs ended her acting career due to language barriers soon after she moved to Paris with her husband, famous photographer Helmut Newton, in 1961.  She worked for BBC and had won a best actress award for the theater.

Possible disappointment exchanged for a diverse and multi-faceted career?
In 1970, she stood in for Helmut in a commercial photo shoot.  Alice goes on to be a famous portrait as well as commercial photographer, published in Vanity Fair, Egoïste, among many other magazines.  The couple has lived part of the year in California, where she also photographed both Hollywood personalities and the Hell's Angels.
